Spice labelling

The dried, whole or ground light-yellow to light-brown, round, 1.8-mm to 2.5-mm large seeds are used as seasoning. Their surface is smooth, but pitted in part.

Taste

The dried seeds have no smell; however, they develop a hot taste when they are chewed.
